Re: My brother the traitor
Loki frowned as he listened to Morganna, his head tilted slightly to one side. "...so you believe I am from this...movie, where someone is apparently pretending to be me?" He asked curiously. "Have you seen it at all...?"

"I do believe your from that world, the Loki from my world would not know what New York is," nodded Morganna as she led Loki into her apartment. "I'v never seen it but from the conversations I have heard...it didn't end up well for you."

Re: My brother the traitor
"It didn't?" Loki frowned, sounding a little disappointed. "Perhaps I am then... The odds weren't exactly in my favour when I ended up here after all." He added with a sigh, brushing a hand through his dark hair.

Re: My brother the traitor
Morganna patted his hand comfortingly, "It matters not. People say that my tales did not end well for me or my son but...but I just know that they did...they had to..."

Re: My brother the traitor
Loki nodded slowly, jumping slightly when she first touched his hand before he relaxed again. "You...you would hope so..." He said quietly, a soft look in his eyes as he looked down at her.

Re: My brother the traitor
Morganna smiled, "My child, Mordred...he went on to be a proper king. He wasn't the sort like my brother acted. He was a true heir to the throne." It was things like this that she had been telling herself ever since being forced to part with him. She wouldn't dare look at the myths that some read about her and her family.
If she was to know the truth, it would have killed her.

Re: My brother the traitor
Loki nodded as he listened, smiling a little at the way she spoke of her child. "How was it exactly your brother acted? If you don't mind my asking..." He said softly after a moment, curious about the brother she apparently didn't get along with.

Re: My brother the traitor
"My brother was raised in the old religion...but he followed the new," Morganna rolled her eyes, "You would think the old religion would be enough for someone but no. Plus he treated me as if I was nothing but a weak woman like his Guinevere. I'm more powerful than even his warlock...or I was..."

Re: My brother the traitor
As Morganna spoke of how her brother had treated her, Loki frowned and shook his head. "He would not treat any woman that way if he met those of Asgard. Some of them can be more frightening than a lot of the men if you anger them enough..." He said, pulling a face. "...and why would one turn their back on such beliefs for?" He asked her after a pause, looking confused by the idea.

Re: My brother the traitor
"He was pressured by his 'lovely' wife Guinevere to change his ways to that of the new God. I will never forgive him for turning his back on me and turning against magic," Morganna cursed to herself. She looked sad, her eyes brimming with tears.
"I am afraid, Lord Loki," she replied as soon as they were safe in her apartment. "I am afraid that my brother killed my son when he was just a child..."

Re: My brother the traitor
Seeing the look on her face, Loki couldn't help but frown. Normally he wouldn't care that someone else was upset, assuming that no one cared about him so he thought caring for others was a waste of his time; Morganna was different though. Like Loki, she was overlooked when it came to choosing the next in line to rule because of a brother, who was favoured by others. Because of that, he thought for once, someone understood him and he wasn't in any hurry to push her away as he'd done to others because of that.
"Why would someone want to harm a child? Especially one separated from its family?" Loki asked, looking annoyed by the idea. "My father Laufey was Odin's enemy, yet he did not kill me..." He added, hesitating slightly before reaching out to put a hand on her shoulder.

Re: My brother the traitor
Morganna was different around Loki than she was around any man she had ever known, even her husband. She felt safe showing her weak side to the god, perhaps because of the bond given to her by Merlin in the name of the old gods. She knew this man had also been next in line to rule but was looked over for his brother was more powerful. They were kindred spirits deep down.
"My son was prophicized to rule Camelot one day," she replied, "to overthrow my brother...Arthur would not have enjoyed that and would have destroyed him..."

"But...he was only an infant when you came here, was he not?" Loki asked, disguising his concern as curiousity. "Why would someone harm one so young? Surely if he were to do anything, he would at least wait..."

Re: My brother the traitor
"It depends," Morgan replied, though she didn't feel like speaking about it. "My brother would do whatever it took to squash those who opposed a threat to him."

Re: My brother the traitor
Loki frowned, shaking his head. "Some may say I don't entirely think straight, but not even I would do such a thing."
He looked around, finally paying more attention his surroundings. "This is where you stay?" He asked curiously, hoping she didn't mistake it for him being rude.

Re: My brother the traitor
"You were the lord of magic. Why would people say you do not think straightly?" asked Morganna, slightly confused. "I do not grasp why it is such a big deal if you are not the same as others."
There was a slight pause as she looked around the small apartment that she owned, "Well...it's all that I could afford..."

Re: My brother the traitor
"There are perhaps many reasons," Loki said with a sigh. "I suppose though that the main two would be that I descend from the Jotun and the fact that I do not see Thor as an idol as most others do."
He frowned slightly at her response to his question. "It is fine, as long as it is not cold..."

"You're brother, from what we were taught a children, is a brute," Morganna replied, "He values fighting to the magic and civility that you are capable of."
She looked around, "No, no I do not believe that it is too cold in here. Do you?"

Re: My brother the traitor
Loki gave a small nod, frowning before he spoke. "Aye, unfortunately for him, Thor knows not the benefits of wielding magic. It is useful for more than just tricks."
He stayed silent for a moment afterwards, thinking about her question before responding to it. "It is fine in here. Do not worry."

Re: My brother the traitor
"Magic is something that I wish my brother and I could have bonded on. He has the ability to do great good with it, we both did. But because he chose the path of the new god he will never know the joys of wielding and creating a spell. Instead he will have to suffer the road of a warrior," Morganna rolled her eyes. She didn't have many mannerisms of the other young women in New York but that was certainly one of them.
Morganna smiled and nod, "Would you like something to eat? I could order pizza or make you something. It's not every day that someone gets to meet their mentor."
